Phyllostachys bambusoides is a giant grass. In a controlled environment, it grows 6'-10' high. In an uncontrolled environment, it grows 10'-20' high. Dense foliage makes it a good screen or hedge. it can take drought conditions but it looks better with regular water. This plant is fast growing and can be invasive. Plant only in containers.
Planting: 1. Dig a hole 1" less the depth and 2 times the width of the container. 2. Fill hole with water, let soak. 3. Set root ball in hole. 4. Fill hole halway with native soil and water. 5. Finish backfilling hole, build basin and water.
